Warning: the "moddir" feature (which is used for releasing this mod so that it doesn't touch the original game at all) does not work for multiplayer! This is a modification of Paradox's "Hearts of Iron 2" World War II game. The goal of this modification is to correct some of the issues in HoI 2 as released by Paradox. Every player (and person creating a mod) has a slightly different vision of what this game should be and different desires for game play style. Our mod is designed with the following goals in mind: * Historical Accuracy and Realism * Primary emphasis on multiplayer games * Target scenario: 1936 Grand Campaign * An accurate and historical economic simulation * Slower paced combat (no "clickfests") * Secondary Emphasis on minor countries being realistic, playable and competitive Our modification is currently for Hearts of Iron 2 version 1.1 and our current mod level is "A0". Instructions: * Unzip the file and it will create a "HoI2" directory. * Copy the contents (HoIStarfire.exe and the "Starfire" directory) to your installation of Hearts of Iron. * Run "HoIStarfire.exe" to play (there will be only a 1936 Grand Campaign to select) Known Bugs * When using a "moddir" mod the configuration changes are not saved from one game to the next (nothing we can do about this - ask Paradox for a fix). * "moddir" doesn't work for multiplayer thus you must use the contents of the "Starfire" directory to overwrite the actual game files of a copy of HoI2 in order to play this mod in multiplayer mode
